KazNTU in international space

International «Inter Varsity» Summer Lingua cultural Exchange Program for students of KazNTU

Forty students of KazNTU out of sixty have been admitted to the International Summer Lingua cultural Exchange Program by “Inter-Varsity” international organization commission.
This exchange program allows students the opportunity to develop their English and learn foreign country’s culture together with the lecturers and undergraduate students from Oxford University and state universities from Netherlands and Canada. Foreign languages     Department of Al-Mashani Nature Science and Humanities Institute has concluded the agreement with this organization on running the program starting from July 7 till July 25 2009. This activity is held by the Department for the third time. The program is free. Lessons will include reading groups, culture classes and interest tracks as well.
Once each week the students will go on an excursion in the afternoon to some places of interest within Almaty and its suburbs.
Students who participate in the summer exchange program are expected to be responsible representatives of Kazakhstan and their university. This program is intended for students who are seriously interested not only in improving their English language skills, but also for those who would like to represent their university and Kazakhstan to the foreign students.
After the program’s completion the students will get the certificates of international sample. We live in a fast developing industrial world of International cooperation, business relations and travel opportunities. This project is a great opportunity for our students to learn more about other cultures and therefore get a better understanding of cultural influences on our lives. Moreover, we hope they also make new friends!
